At the recent FL FE Champs a prospective new racer asked about length for a P Hydro. Easy answer is 34 inches. With the JAE and KEP's you have a ski that extends rear of the transom. So is it tip of the sponsons to transom? Or is the ski being a running surface included in the length?

From end of forward most part of hull (in this case sponson tip) to end of rearward most part of hull which would be the end of the ski. With that being said if you go to the rule book FE section J, page J1 A3 shows riggers are allowed up to 60" even in P class.

In IMPBA the length limit for all electric outriggers is 60" .  NAMBA has a cap at 34" for P-hydro.

So if you are so inclined you can run a 5 ft N2 hydro.
