Set of Rossi .65’s, circa 1990. I made the mount and the heads for a buddy of mine. I ran mine the other way around. But lots of different ways back then.
Originally I posted “maybe .90’s” as I knew my buddy had some 90’s. But then I remembered they were bolt on carb and I think drum valves.
and then Andy told me they were either 65 or 80 and then finally the owner told me they were .65’s. Sorry for the confusion. I updated the FB post but not here. Till now.
I actually don’t think I ever owned any Rossi stuff but my buddy did.

Very cool, brings back memories, John Ackerman came to the SGRA Hydro Invitational a couple times with a blue twin loaded with K&B motors and heads he made that looked like this. I loved the design at the time. He was always a cut up at the races, even before that when racing around the island at the old pond across the street. Great times.

I had one of those blue head Rossi 65's back in the 80's in an Aeromarine cat.

One of the best engines I've ever had. It was a screamer and very reliable.

Have heard some say the rods were weak, but call it luck, or whatever, I never

had any issues. Seems we ran it on 50% Pro Power fuel.

Those 90's are very cool, Danny.... just saw one NIB, with pipe, on eBay last week.

Hi Danny
The Rossi 61 castings were used up to and including the 80 size but I think the 90’s were a new casting. Doc Turner would probably know as well as David Bryant out in Cal.
Thanks John

I updated the original post. If I knew then what I know now there would be no water and all the fins. Lol
