I wonder how much capital it would take to buy Novarossi.

Not saying it would work, but if there is enough of us in the hobby world wide do you think we could start an IPO between all of us?

Just a thought
Interesting thought James!!!

Wonder what a company like that would cost?
Thats a great question Terry. Drawings, machining programs, tooling, parts, name, website, and taking in consideration one year of sales or maybe 3x EBITDA, probably $1mil. Then you would have to get everything here, hire the staff, and get started. It would be a $1.5-2mil investment.

Ron
Thanks for your hard work and endurance and the massive effort to keep everyone informed , I know it ya been a massive burden on you trying to get answers out of Italy .

Ms Rossi shouldn’t worry I am sure either her loyal workers will return and help the family either way or a major invested like BZM come on bourd and take in the smaller engine factory and staff and cater both side of the playing fields I am sure a phone call or email to the CEO would like to hear from u and Ms Rossi to maybe start off on Consignment builds process just to get back up and Running .
Food for thought seen there close neighbours .
Thank you!! BTW!!! Lolol. You reading my messages Bubba??? I reached out to BZM two weeks ago and we discussed this very scenario. They are only about 300 miles apart and after explaining the status (they were not aware), they are going to reach out and explore the possibilities. It would be a perfect marriage. They could sell gas and nitro rc engines and already have the staff to carry the line forward. Fingers crossed on this one!!! In regards to employees coming back, yes she had many loyal employees that I have been communicating with over Linkedin from customer service to engineering. Most had to get different jobs to support their family and no longer in the hobby industry. None have negative and all have positive comments about the environment and working with Madame Rossi and their customer base. I really hope they figure out a plan either way.

Lol Timbo!!! You crack me up!!!! Too much expense would be added to bring to US. Also, I am trying to work less not more!!! LOL. Someone in Italy would be the best option. Time will tell. Until then, I will continue to get product and bring to US.

You could spend 2 months in Italy and then 2 months back here, what a life.,

That's huge gold nugget

thanks for the update Ron.

Just never know, all the stars may re-align and everything comes back to “normal”. At least everything is still physically intact.

I love NovaRossi product

Thank you David. Yes, thats why I wanted to wait until I could send someone there myself to get firsthand info. So many stories floating around but none of them were true. They are not bankrupt, not in trouble with the government, they have not sold all of their equipment (except the heli and airplane portion of their business in Nov 2019). They are simply another worldwide small business victimized and uprooted by COVID. Yes, they have great engines and I am sure the Rossi family will figure something out.

If you go to rc tech forum and click on novarossi engine forum there is info about Max Power of Italy (Nova based car engine company) has bought molds and some machines for their line of Nova engines from Novarossi. Richard

Richard, the molds that made the actual Max Power engines, that included their logo on the case, may have been sold, but thats all. Again, thats a huge “MAY”. I have first-hand confirmation that the complete line of Nova stamped engine molds are all still intact, including machinery and parts stock. I have already received two shipments from Nova through a good friend of mine in Italy, and he is shipping another huge order the end of this week. You have to be careful of the posts online, as the info is still not accurate. Ms Rossi is trying to decide if she goes through the process of hiring new staff to replace everyone she lost due to the pandemic, or sell the complete company intact. I am hopeful the family will find a great solution either path they follow. More updates coming soon. Thank you.
