Built about a dozen of them traced the wood made some from door skins also I framed the opening with 1/4 inch plywood so you can grab it with out worrying about ripping the deck off.
Those look really nice. That was a good idea door skins. Those look light weight yet strong.

My first one was a full size cracker, 15’ long built from GlenL plans. About 6 yrs ago ,I built a Zipp cracker and ran it for a few years. about 2 yrs ago , I designed and built another one. That one now holds the Namba SAW and 2 lap records. this one is a Jerry Dunlap design. I modified it slightly.

I didn’t realize that was a scratch built hull looked like a zip kit very nice work I will be following this thread as I too love crackers

Heres one of my first build from Dunlap plans back when zenoah just came out had a clutch 30 cc homey

Last skin on the bottom. Off the jig tomorrow and see what it looks like.
