Making your gas tunnel scale

Add an engine cowl on you gas tunnel not only makes them look scale, they look really cool.
After receiving mine from Insane Boats and a little ingenuity , my engine had its cowling on and I could pull start it, change the plug, and make and carb adjustments without removing the cover.

The cowl does make the boat look good BUT-that "big ole ugly tuned pipe" negates the scale appearance. However, with that being said, I was partially to blame for tuned pipes on O.B.'s. Way back in the old days John Equi made the first O.B. tuned pipe and I did all the development work with the pipe on my boat. After many changes to the pipe and header I started racing the pipe and no one could stay on the same lap with me so we knew we had something special and John started making and selling the pipes. I have to wonder what would have happened to the O.B. classes if the tuned pipe had not come along. I never have liked the way a pipe looks on an O.B. but boy they sure do run!!!
