Supercharging two strokes is straightforward. You just need to keep from blowing everything out the exhaust. This is done either with valve (or piston in opposed piston engines) timing or by raising the exhaust back pressure. Snowmobiles have been running turbo charged engines for years with the turbo providing the back pressure. It's a lot harder to get significant boost with valve controlled exhaust in a high speed engine. We get the same effect as a turbocharger with a tuned pipe.

Years ago one of the rc magazines had a article on how to build one to fit a supertigre engine. I started building one but got side tracked and never finished it. I think I still have the print and parts I made.
