Life 6.6v batteries and fm receivers?

Can I use Life 6.6 volt batteries with my fm Futaba receivers or do I need to get 6 volt Nimh ? I know I should upgrade to 2.4 radio systems but I have at least a dozen receivers and 3 radios that work fine. I just want to get away from AA batteries.

Life 6.6v worked fine with my futaba 3PDF. used them for a few yrs till I went to 2.4. Nothing wrong with FM futaba stuff. I still think FM is better than 2.4 setup.
FHSS protocol is 1940's tech. The only new part of it is the 2.4 digital signal.
You shouldnt have to worry about swapping crystals much now
