I think what he's asking Joe, the first 3 pic's show the rear part of the cowl mounting plate is black may be metal flake?
And the second to last & last that plate is wood.
Which cowling is included with the boat?

Ok,
First 3 pics show how the boat looked when I bought it, notice the hole on the left rear , the whole rear portion of the cowl was warped, couldn't get it to lay flat, so I cut the upper portion of the cowl off and mounted it to a piece of plywood, hope this helps.
