Finishing a (mostly built) JAE 21. This is my first outrigger equipped with a center ski, and as such I'm curious as to whether I'm setting the strut correctly above it. Strut is set at 90° from transom, ski is temporarily taped in place.

If this looks correct, I'll go ahead with the install. Thanks, boys!

My set up is identical. Ran it for the first time last weekend on a windy day with a bit rough water conditions. The boat ran and handled great. Actually exceeded my expectations.

Don't try to fix something that ain't broke! The strut is designed to sit right on top of the the ski bottom sheeting. It was designed that way for simplicity. Works great on all of my JAE riggers. No need for the extra work.
