The park has given us a discount again this year on the entrance fees, a flat C$15/day per vehicle and all occupants. Just mention "model boat race" and show some ID.

No park entrance fees if camping. :)

    Hey Terry,

If I remember correctly, didn't the park offer a one-time fee and give you a pass for all 3 days?

It's the same deal as last year except we don't have to deal with the token system.

Flat C$15/day per vehicle and all occupants instead of $15 for vehicle and driver plus $5 for each additional occupant.

Fifteen Canadian Pesos is about like what? Five bucks for you? :)

As a novice rc boater, I won't be racing, but I will be 'looking and learning'. Seeing as I'm not racing, do I need to register, or simply show up and pay my Fifty Point entrance fee each day?

    Thanks,
    Kaye

spectators are pretty much always welcomed at races, we want people to see it. you'll just need to stay out of the hot pits (where boats are started) and launch area, but those will be clearly marked and roped off. generally you're able to walk around people's tents and see their stuff.

With 7 weeks to go we already have 183 boats registered. If you haven’t signed up yet I’d suggest you do so soon. We might have to limit entries soon.

I understand we have some guests coming to our event who haven't been to the "Golden Horseshoe" area of Canada yet and are bringing family's that are looking for things to do in the area. Here's some info for you:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Horseshoe

Fifty Point Conservation area is 200 acre park on the south shore of lake Ontario with walking trails, a marina, campground and beach areas.

    http://conservationhamilton.ca/wp-c.../2019/06/Fifty-Point-Online-Brochure-2019.pdf

The on site, licenced restaurant "Limani at Fifty" has a huge deck over looking the marina, each contestant gets a $10 discount coupon:

    https://limaniatfifty.com/

The Niagara Falls region has lots to do besides the falls, you can tour the vineyards and take a wine tasting tour, shop at the quaint "Niagara on the Lake", go to the Casinos or Marineland:

    https://www.niagarafallstourism.com/

    https://www.niagaraonthelake.com/

    https://marineland.ca/

There is also a very popular outlet mall in the area:

    https://www.outletcollectionatniagara.com/

Downtown Toronto or "Trawna" as we call it has many things to see and do. Popular attractions include the CN tower, Toronto Islands, Royal Ontario Museum, the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Theater District and more:

    https://www.seetorontonow.com/attractions/

Canada's Wonderland theme park is popular with the kids:

    https://www.canadaswonderland.com/

If you come to our part of the world I think you'll find people generally friendly and way too polite, but hey that's the Canadian way. Don't forget if you're coming from the US your dollar is worth about 1.25 Canadian dollars so try to exchange some money ahead of time and use a credit card to make the most of it.

    See ya'll soon!

Bonus! Just heard today a local band called "The Reflections" will be playing at the Limani restaurant on Sat. night from about 7 to 11 pm.

Apparently they play a mix of 60's and 70's classic rock with a little 80's rock and country thrown in, quite popular I'm told! :)
