About a year or so ago I was looking for a 1” drop down 90 degree header for a Thunderboat that I was building. Someone gave me the name of a guy out West that makes pipes and headers that he sells and I bought what I needed from him.

I’m in need of a couple more 90 degree drop down 1” headers but I need 2 that will push the pipe out 1/2” before it makes the 90 degree turn. Anyone know the name of the guy I might be looking for or maybe someone that can make SS headers like I’m needing?

it will look sort of like this…

Yep, you are looking for Alan Terry. ATR is his shop name.
Yep, after I got his name I found where I had sent him money and once I had that I found the the messages back and forth. I already sent him a new message, thanks.

You can contact him on facebook. BTW his prices have gone up with the increase of Quickdraw prices.

Yea I’m sure everyone’s prices have gone up. It’s not for a QD style exhaust, I have a 1” alum CC racing pipe that I either need a custom header or I need a 1/2” spacer that I can put between the jug and the exhaust flange. I need to move the pipe out 1/2” but still use a drop down 90 degree header. I need two of them for two Scale Gas boats that I’m building. Other wise I’ll have to cut the crap out of all the ribs and I don’t want to do that.

Like this but out further…

That’s basicly the same header that I have except the one I have is a 1” header and I think that one is a 7/8” header. I talked with Alen this afternoon and it looks like I’m SOL on getting a header made like I want so my plan B is to make a spacer between the exhaust flange and the jug. If you look close you will see that I stacked two exhaust flanges to set everything up. I need/want a spacer anywhere from 3/8” thick to 5/8” thick to get the pipe more in the center of the ribs.

Alan was able to hook me up after all! He ended up welding some spacers in the header witch will put the exhaust where I want it! Thanks Alan, they came out great.
