One of our members has volunterred to set up a new web site for us and keep it active with our up coming events and boat building projects. Check it out, http://home.hiwaay.net/~wintrak/RC/2/ FOr 2011 the Huntsville club will also be hosting more records trials (1/3 mile oval, 1/4 mile oval and SAW) and a SPRING RACE with Nitro, GAS, and FE classes. For 2011 we will be having lots of action, Plan on making this a stop for your boating action next year!

Thanks Bill, I was looking @ some of the pics of when the kids were still kids & we were all skinnier....... A lot of Good times @ Huntsville. Got to get it back to Rocking...We plan to race there in May 2011. B)
 
Thank you I'm sure Paul will appreciate the compliments. Really looking forward to increased interest in the 1/4 mile oval records trial for next year. Nice that the HUntsville club has all 3 courses availabel for records trials now. 1/3 mile ovals, 1/4 mile ovals, and SAW. We're also working with the city of Huntsville to hav ethe water skiers jump removed for 2011. Should open lots of open water up for slow down on the SAW course.

We have one this weekend and another around the 12th of November Friday - Sunday and the last one is the weekend right after Thanksgiving Saturday and Sunday

the room type that you are requesting, arrival and departure dates as well as smoking preference by 9/30/2011
 
Well now the club can run all 3 courses for our IMPBA Records Trials! SAW, 1/3 mile oval, and the 1/4 Mile Oval. Plus we have had the Water ski jumped removed from the lake all together. So now the lake is wide open great for heat racing our setting IMPBA records.
 
For 2014 we have 3 records trials and 2 races.

April 13-16 Sun is open water and the records trial will start Monday and go through Wedensday!

Next up is the first ever Huntsville "World Championship Series Race" May 1ST through MAY 4TH !

August 8-10 is the Huntsville Club's Annual "Gene Taylor / John Hall Memorial Race" featuring a Special Traveling Trophy for the Multi-Engine Class.

Then in October we have our records trials starting back up on October 3rd through 5th F-Sun.

Our last event for 2014 is our "Turkey Day Records Trial" November 29th - 30th The 28th will be an open water day.

The city of Huntsville is pretty centrally located 2 hr drive time from Nashville,TN (BNA) 2 hour drive time from Birmingham, AL (BHM) and 4 hours from Atlanta, GA (ATL) and 4 hour drive from Memphis, TN (MEM) or fly straight into Huntsville International Airport (HSV) and then you only have a few minutes drive. Hotels range from $50 up to whatever you want to $pend. Huntsville area remains the fastest-growing large city in Alabama. The 2013 population estimate -- 187,413 - is up 4.1 percent from the 2010 Census. It is considered the "Silicon Valley of the South" It has more "Rocket Scientists and engineers per capita than many larger cities".

The web site has been killed . So we have started a Face book page Huntsville Model Boating Association. We have loads more information on there along with lots of pictures.
