HELP--PROP for CATAMARAN

I have a 50 inches Catamaran from Aeromarine. using TP motor 600 KV,6Y, 12000 Max Power and using MODEL 300 SWORDFISH. I am using 470 prop.

I am using different types of lipo cells below:

TWO EACH 6S (22.2) with 5000mah OR TWO EACH 3S (11.3) with 5000mah.

The boat is fast but run time is very short.

Can anyone tell me if I need to use diff type of prop beside 470 prop?

it is less than 5min run time, about two big laps and die in the mid of the pond. is the 470 prop right size for the boat.

How hot is the motor/esc and batteries getting?

Does your esc have on board data logging?

If you want more run time then you need to prop down and increase your capacity, i rum between 6600 and 8000mah on my setups.

both the motor and esc are not hot at all. just the running time is low.

the boat is fast. what kind of prop would you recommend?

I have two 3s with 6600mah. I can use that and use.

My first run, I used two of 3s, 6600mah. the total of 6s

My second run, I used two of 6s, 5000mah. the total of 12s.

I am using TP 5670 Inrunner brushless, 6 pole, 600kv

For a boat that big you need 10-12Ah. That means two parallel sets of batteries. Big boats need a lot of capacity.

12S with 12Ah is what you need for your boat....an Octura X465 detongued will work good for this set up.Gill

you meant, two 6s with 6000mah each, and with prop x465 right

if I buy two 10s with 600mah each, will this give me more run time.

What we are trying to say is you need more voltage and more capacity to get decent run times. You need 10S2P or 12S2P with a total of 10,000mAh or more.
