Just purchased this and trying to find out the manufacturer of the boat. Novice in the rc boats. Still learning so there will probably be lots more questions.

Need more info and pics of inside. I know MRP came out with a plastic version of that boat a long time ago. It was elelctric. That boat look like it might be an 1/8 scale. How long is it?

Looks to be an Aeromarine hull,
As it is in the pics. It is not a legal scale with the painted cockpit windows.
You would have to check measurements against the master hull roster
Your other thread showed the inside, appears to have OS Max for power, what size is the engine?

Frank, the 1/8th scale class has its own set of hull/engine requirements.
Enclosed cockpit boats are to have a "see through" windshield with an appropriate driver figure.
Engines are to be up to .67

I understand items that may give a performance advantage.... engine size, pipes,
ride surfaces, props, etc. What I don't get is cosmetic stuff... a painted cockpit windshield?? That's grounds for a DQ or not allowed to run in a race ?

Scale guys... want to win, and look good doing it..

That's right, limited to a .67 engine.
Any engine mods ARE allowed
You can use any pipe, as long as it meets the 95db noise limit.
But that pipe MUST be concealed under the cowl or turbine tube.
NOT visible in its running state.
Cockpit, yes, driver figures are required, enclosed cockpits,,, must have a see through windshield.
Running surfaces CAN be changed/modified for performance.
Loose you cooling or tail feathers during a race, you will only receive 6th place points (unless it was caused by an accident)
You want a true challenge in model boating? Build and race a scale!

Aero marine it is and it most likely need the sponson modded to ride correctly take the tunfin off and table it. I think that is a dead 3/16 shaft will need to e changed to a 1/4 inch shaft. That 81is a nice motor, Keep the carb sale the motor.
