Head Buttons

Can someone explain to me why Novarossi engines have markings designating where the head button is placed . Seems to me it would not matter as they are symetrical and the would be able to rotate it to wherever .

I asked the same thing and was told that the markings are meant to be directed towards the exhaust port and give you a reference to consistently reassemble the engine/head button in the same orientation every time. I’m not an engine guru, but I think that’s a little far fetched? But that’s the only explanation I have ever received when I asked others the same question myself. Maybe we both will get an answer?
