Oh, they were decreed verboten May 1, 2020.

No debate, no vote, nothing. It's been 2 1/2 years now and they've spent at least 15 million studying how to "buy them back".

If you own one it must be unloaded and trigger locked in a safe or you could face Federal time.

And what does that mean? Cuz the U.S. has it all figured out. 🙄
We definitely have our ongoing issues but it's better than what's currently going on up there. You all better hope that Poilieve wins 'cause if Trudeau stays you guys are screwed even worse than now. Not only does 'ol Justin want all your guns (recently has outright said so) and to trample what's left of your free speech, he also is infatuated with China's "social credit score" system and has been talking directly to them on how Canada can implement the same within the next few years. Imagine not being able to get airfare, use any mass transit systems, your kids barred from college or even lose your job because the government didn't like the way you drive, spending too long playing video games, wasting money on frivolous purchases, and posting on social media. Yup, they are all punishable offenses. Gee that sounds like fun..............

Just focus on your side of the border guys and stop worrying about this side. We'll do just fine even with the strict gun laws. You guys are so caught up with politics. Why not get back to model boating and learn to chill a bit. It might be a good time to kill the off topic forum. Just a suggestion from the kinder more gentle side of the border.

Newsflash- the current state of things (insane inflation, costs of fuel, border restrictions) IS directly affecting our hobby. Besides, if you don't like the off topic forum then maybe you should just not click on it. And BTW one of your fellow Canucks started this thread so it is what it is. ;)

Good suggestion Don. I'll stop clicking here and hang out in threads with less ego/opinion oriented content. Hopefully there's some more positive model boating discussions that are more appropriate to an RC boating forum. We'll see....
