I have seen a video saying on a hydro you want around 3/4 (12 ozs)of a pound strut weight . When I checked my 20 whip limited hydro I am 10.70 ozs but with a battery in it drops to 7.45 ozs. Total boat rtr weight is 6 lbs 7.6 ozs . The one thing I find interesting is I have a 6 ozs weight I carry in the nose because the boat blows off the water with out it. No nose weight and the strut weight is 12.65 ozs less battery. Has me thinking would this same principle apply to electrics.

No. Every boat is going to be different. Your weight is never the same. Just in the building process alone you can have more glue in one area than another. Same goes for paint. Strut weight helps with keeping the prop in the water. Certain props have different lift than others. So there is no magic number to shoot for. You will also see more weight on larger boats. Bigger props. It is all about testing.
