You click the "Start a conversation" button after you type the recipients name and the message.

Is this cleared up now?
At the bottom of the message you will see the three buttons. Start a Conversation and Preview? Those are what you need.
Also, if you check Lock conversation (No reponses will be allowed) that will do exactly that.

Ok Angie...
Posting a pic.....after I make the message....I click on the little "camera" icon.....then it seems I need to make an album or something to that sort....can I just post a pic straight from my phone without making an album or "gallery" that everyone sees

Posting a photo from your phone. Go to bottom of message area of post and use the upload a file button at the bottom of the the message area. It will take you to the gallery in your device to choose the image to upload. Once uploaded it is best to choose Full Image so it shows big. Thumbnail is small and can be clicked on to see the big version.

You can also do a copy and paste from other areas on the internet.

PM's are now called Conversations. You will access them by clicking on the envelope in the upper right of the forum page. Right where the alert bell is and your the little man that leads to the User Control Panel.

If you click on that it opens like this and you can see a list of new ones (I don't have any), and All Conversations and Start a conversation.

Once you open that it will look like a forum post with a title. Be sure to put your recipients name in the TO box.

@Grimracer if you are replying to a conversation and the originator has marked the lock conversation, no one will be able to reply to it. I have to edit those to put in an answer, or copy it and start over. I have sent you a conversation you should be able to reply to.

Hi all. I work with the site owner and am here to help you with tips, answering questions and such since this software is different than the old software.

First off, I know I'm using only my first name, but it's either this or Tech Admin. I'm not going to be doing business deals with you, and Angie can be seen similar to Admin. So, please just consider my name as a title.

I'm doing some tweaking to the permissions, making sure the images work, and such things as that.

Please put your questions here, and please tell me what does not seem to be working, too.
I pressed the wrong button on log in now I can’t log off What can I do. Thanks

It's just the likes and emotions that you accumulate. I'm not sure what they are good for as I don't have reaction score to set anything else off. I will be doing more research on their use, and if I find something good for the forum, I'll explain. But, it's pretty much just like the number of likes you've received.
