Awesome Mike mine should be done in a couple weeks if I can get a break from pool tables. You gonna be at twin lakes tomorrow?

nope, taking this race off. I was in so much pain after my first shot and raced the following day. Not doing it this time. Got my second yesterday.

Mike;
I'm out of District 9 in Northern California. Your WE is beautiful!!!! I am building the 92 WE Select. If you have the time to talk I'd love to chat about your build.

A little update. I struggle with it on its first 2 times in the water. FIrst time I kept breaking the wire drive loose from the shaft. I was told to drive the shaft out 2 more inches and then use the 638 locktight. Second time it would only launch for about 100' and then reduce power with my ZTW speed control. The controller settings were set to low cell volt a 3 and then reduce power. I had to buy a programmer. The option has now been delete. No protection. I will decided when I burn up my battery or not. Yesterday was the first race that the boat made without all its issues. Needless to say, she did well.

First 2 heats I had to start as a trailer. Won them both. Next 2 got to start at the line. I got in a start duel with Chuck Murray and we pulled each other over the line for a jump start. Chuck boat washed me down and knocked my cowl loose. It fell off the boat on the back stretch with Chuck getting a penalty. I proceded to run down the leaders. On 4th lap caught them going into the right turn. Boat in front of me slow way down and I had to avoid him but cutting off another boat. 1 penalty added. I was able to finish in third that heat. No 6th place points for loss of cowl since I was washed down. Last heat nail the start and never looked back. 1425 for the day.

Missed out on a perfect day. Not too shabby with the small prop on. She has even more speed with bigger prop. The boat is fast. It rails the corners. Love it.

Made an adjustment to cowl to help keeping it on if I get washed down again. Added a couple of .060 pins to lock it on the magnets.20210627_114749.jpg20210627_114923.jpg
