90 cat props

Guys, I've got a cmb 90 gold head in a 42 inch cat that I bought recently. I'm looking for props to try. It came with a 646 octura and a 270 Prather. Are these good to start with? Any suggestions will be appreciated...

Ran a Prather 265 or an Octura x465 on my CMB 90 powered 42" Aeromarine Sprintcat back in the day.....

Thanks Don, that's what this boat is, sprintcat I will start with those and go from there. If you ran a 265 maybe I'll try cutting on the 270 and see what happens also. Thanks for the help....

I pitted for John harter way back same cat but had a Simpson 90 and he ran a Prather 270 I run a Prather 265 on my F,s subsurface .

Thanks Brian , I've got a 270 think I'll try it first and go from there and I just put a new pipe on it from stumpfab. Also welcome to I/W. APPRECIATE THE HELP.....

cheesh,,some of these props are small.
ur saying a .90 right? a .67 spins a p265 or oct 465 easy.
in any case to make it "work" a 1667 or a 467 with some cup if the 1667 is too much lift/trouble. might have to bring the strut/prop hub just a fraction of an inch out the water

Thanks bermadude, yea it's a cmb 90 twin plugged and I wasn't sure where to start. I will order the two props and give it a go...
