Congrats Buck on your Atlanta heat racing victory. Were you able to maintain your testing setup for the win? IE R-4, 008 HC, 2219 and pipe at 9.5. Thanks again for sharing!!!
I used an O’Donnell 287 glow plug. Added .003” for a current total of .011” head clearance. 60%nitro w/18%oil. ABC2219-19-38. Pipe at 9.75”. Narrowed the front sponson spacing to 7.5” on each side w/1/8” toe in on the turn-fin sponson.

Wow everyone that's more critical setup info your ever going to get. 287 for heat, 9 3/4 to turn that high pitched 2219 and expanded head clearance to reduce that pre ignition look of the piston and head button. Thanks Buck.

Don't forget Joe and Zipp Kits has a 67/80 JAE short kit you can buy via special order.
The boat also will accept other motors like a KRE 90.

Hopefully the Hammonds will have a new rigger available soon as well.
Soon! 😎 The built up sponsons are going together very well! We have one F hydro out in the wild that will be tested shortly, working on a 67 and two gas twins to go out relatively soon as well. It’s taken a little time but the pieces are finally coming together.
