Just wondering if anyone would be interested in slot car racing at the Country Champs on Friday night. I just found out that a guy in Finley has leased a shop in town and filled it with two tracks(one is about 30 sec a lap and the other 20 sec). You can race 6 cars(1/32 scale) on two lanes with electronic lap counting with overtaking lanes. It will cost about $30 to hire a car and race for 4 hours.

To avoid having to wait too long for your turn to race the owner reckons a maximum of about 30 people is ideal.

Please let me know if your interested so I can organise it.

Craig

Hey I shoulda comw up just for that.... Could dust off a few old slot cars I have hanging around.... Maybe an old Koford Group 7???? or would that be a bit over the top??? (155 foot track - lap times under 2 seconds!!!)

Oh and the NEMESIS is not dead yet.....

Neither is "FB Tunnel"

EMS Racing - We put the "Y" back in Question...

Looks like an outboard Trophy has made its way down south for the first time in a while LOL WHOOOOHOOOOOOOO

Great to meet you Kesso!

Kris

Well Done Kris,

You drove with more maturity than I've seen in the past & your boat was running great on the weekend too. Keep up the good work.

Tim.

Kris and his boat were very fast, it must be because of his "international" racing experience!

Congratulations to both Kris and Louise for their results. I'll be very keen to see Kris's HTB get on the water, keep us informed of progress Kris.

It was a very enjoyable weekend of racing and socialising and big thanks to Craig Knight and the Finley Club.

Regards,

James

Kris,

if first you dont succeed, try, try, try go to the states, and WINNER back on home soil. Congrats mate. Its been a long time coming till you have that eluded first place OBT trophy.

David

Bloody Mexicans!!!! Luckily there was no beer riding on this one, the cases were nestled safely back home with me!!!

Well done Kris, like Kesso said, must of been that "international racing experience"

Dion,

Next sanctioned event is in Adelaide on 28th - 29th July, and then the Winter Spectacular in Sydney on the 24th - 26th August.

I won't be able to attend the one in Adelaide, but the Winter Spec is a definite for me.

Tim.

OK Guys,

It's Roll Call for Practice Day at Penrith on Sunday 24th June, who's going to be there??

I been inspired by Tim Duggan's excellent explanation of header tanks and will be running one on my HTB/MAC this Sunday to see if it helps stop my boat "taking a rest" in the middle of a race like it did in 2 out of 3 heats at Finley.

I'll also have my Seducer/MAC mono there with the strut relocated higher on the transom to give me a bit more adjustment on prop height and trim angle and see if I can get this thing to come alive.

I hope we can get to the Drivers' Stand without having to walk on water??

Regards,

James

I'm not sure yet about the 24th.........

James - my boat has a header tank built into the main tank, and you finished one more race than I did.

You know Tim that no matter how special your tank is , if you DONT FILL IT UP before the race , it WILL stop mid race

Dont worry i will ask you every race at the winter spec ......

Tim,

I thought your DNFs might have been caused by the "red haze" coming down and the need to see what the Frankenfurter would do?

You are probably right James. Pity it was a dog during the races - i was very happy with it on Thursdays practice even though it was severely underpropped! Showed real potential. Useless to have power if it doesn't finish! I should know better but as you said - red mist

Andrew,

I'll put a translucent tank in the new tunnel - it will make YOUR JOB of refuelling my boats easier

Greg I cant wait to see the lil green monster back out there. Hopefully i can get a run while you on the course and test my OER os against that beast of yours!

Looking forward to seeing the big fella go too. your making me wana pull my zenoah out of my mono (which ive run once) and build a gas ob.

Also My mate Evan will have his OER os there too hell be running in his motor.

Im Itchn already.
