Does ABC offer two different versions of the 1816 or did the change the prop at some point?

I only see one two blade listed on their chart

I have the 17 rake, 45 bar cleaver
I'm looking for the one in the first pic , the second picture is what I have.

Roman,

That is what I was talking about. We are going to try a 2619/3-23*-47% next on the Blade Runner.

Tim,

The first 1816 -10*-50% has a 10-degree rake with a 50%blade area.
It was too much blade area for most
21-Hydros. The newer 1816-17*45%
is much better on a 21-Hydro.

Interesting!
first prop is not stock, I modified it a decade ago and it's night and day better than the newest version in testing this past weekend on two different boats.
I gave that prop to a friend and am now looking for another if anyone has one.

Tim,
Interesting is right .
You took too much blade area away on the second one the
17*/45%. Also, what kind of diameters did both propellers have?
On the 10*/50% you modified the blade area a little bit and ground away the trailing edge cup. Have you put them on a
pitch gauge and indexed the propeller numbers? The older
10*/50% series propellers worked good if you got the trailing
edge numbers right for your motor and pipe combination.
Your set up likes the more blade area percentage because
it throws more water upon each revolution of the blades. Also,
the 10*/50% had more lift in it with less rake angle in it. I know
you have a strong motor and pipe combination that likes the
more lift and more blade area. How fast or what kind of lap times
did you get with the 17*/45%? Jim has been going back to more
blade area percentage on some of his newest designs and also
adding more rake angle to 23*-degrees on some of them. If you
want another suggestion, try going up to a 1915-17*-45% or
1916-17*-45% and see what the results are? You could take advantage of the power with a longer blade length. The only thing did you keep the indexed measurements on both propellers? This is the reason I sell my propellers with that information. Without it you have to guess what you had.

Thanks For The Pictures,

🤣🤣🤣
That's a lot of questions lol

The new prop has stock dia with a little blade reduction and reduced pitch, and the prop actually improved with the blade reduction.
Don't own a pitch gauge, never have, never been technical with props and have almost always ran my own.
Speed low seventies at best.

Old prop was modified with the guidance of possibly the top twenty guy on the planet and if he wants to share what he told me to do that will be his choice.
What I can say is that prop on my 3lb boat with an Irwin S pipe is staging quite nicely and making some serious rpms.

Soooo
If anyone has the first generation (top picture) they would like to part with let me know.

Tim,

You are looking for a 1816-10*-50% ABC propeller.
It was the first generation of the newer designed ABC
Propellers. They started as an electric boat propeller
for the European market first.
Tim if you want I can order you some from Jim? How
many would you want?

Let Me Know Please,

Mark Sholund
