Howard Clark machined down brass rod to make the trim for his 1/6th Wildroot "Charlie". He made a jig that he pulled the rod through to keep it from twisting and mounted that on a six foot Bridgeport mill. After pulling the rod through the jig, roughly 75% had been removed, giving a flat mounting surface and rounded face. He then drilled and countersunk screw holes and attached the strips to the edges of the hull with small flat head screws and epoxy, followed by black paint. Unfortunately, Howard's not around any more to ask about his methods
