where did you get the 1/6.667 cowl ?

Snell design makes the cowl and wing set. Very high quality parts. Motor and ESC have a cover that is taped in place under the cowl. ESC is mounted on a pivoting tray so the batteries can be inserted and removed on both sides of tub. There is no additional weight in this boat to obtain the correct C.G. This boat runs much better than my 1/8 scale. The increase in size is not proportional to the weight.

I cut about 4 inches off a 36 inch cable. I’m running a x457 for now. 5 runs and 220 is the highest amp reading so far.

Motor is a tppower 5870/750 kv on ten cell roaring top 5100/ 80 c. 2p set up.

I run for about 2minutes. Some times 230. Limit so far is motor temp. I need to get a better water jacket for the 5870. Probably going to have to make one. The tp water jacket is to small.

Before the water jackets were around they took like 1/8" or next size up of brass tubing & wrapped it around the motor. I dont knok if anyone has tried aluminium . But before you bend the tubing find a piece of wire that fits inside of it, thats to keep the tubing from kinking or buckling. After your done pull it out. I would recommend to put some kind of lube on so it makes it easier to pull the wire out.

By the way that bending tubing trick , that was for the 1/8 scale & smaller size of boats.
So for this size im goona say more like 1/4 if not the next size bigger.

Might try that. You can use weed eater string inside when you bend it.

If you can find copper like in 1/4"or little bigger , that would bend alot easier
