    Remote 3rd channel needle

Basically what I did was say without the remote needle the flow where it ran best was 80. So i richened the needle from there and set up the remote needle and in the middle of the throw I set the flow going through the remote needle to 80. At the pond that was now too lean, engine sagging out, I...

    Remote 3rd channel needle

Yes I still have the carb needle still there but richened up. I may need to back the needle off more than I had it at. So next time I run it I am going to back the needle out more.

    Remote 3rd channel needle

Thanks guys, thats what I was trying to get at. If my numbers were supposed to be the same between the numbers from the carb needle opposed to flowing through the remote needle. I will continue to dial in the remote needle and that number will be whatever it is.

    Remote 3rd channel needle

Hello, when running a remote needle do you find that when you get the needle dialed in, that the numbers on the flow meter are richer, or lower than when not using the remote needle? When just going through the carb needle the numbers are around 17 higher than when going through the remote...

    outfitting retrieve boat

I like that setup Phil. Our pond has a dock for the retrieve boat so for us I would only do one side but it could be full length. We have at times had almost a heat worth of dnf thunderboats, Have to make multiple trips to unload and get the rest.

    outfitting retrieve boat

Thanks for the pic Ray, and thanks for the offer to help rig the boat Doug. On that rig do the boats sit on it front to back or do they go across? Main issue is trying to bring back multiple thunderboats at a time, same with some of the other larger hulls. Also trying to picture that setup, what...

    outfitting retrieve boat

Hello, Our club has got a new retrieve boat and it needs to be set up. I am seeing if anybody has pics of their retrieve boat or suggestions. I have read about racks but have not seen them. Wondering how to make a rack that works for all hull types. So basically looking for pics and ideas. Thanks

    Hooking? In turns

Yes it is a woodstuff. I am using a OS lower and a M445 2 blade prop.On calm water I can hold it close to wide open and ease it through the turn. If I let up a little going in and try to run a tight line it will hook or spin very easily. I have never ran this hull nitro, but it has ran electric.I...

    Hooking? In turns

Hello,I am running a Woodstuff hull, electric 4 cell. It ran fine before so I think I need to undo some work I did to the hull. I wetsanded with a block the hull bottom. It was pretty thick with clearcoat so I was able to get nice sharp edges, The problem I have now is when I set it into the turn...

    OS pto unit

OK, that is how I tried to get it off but it split the end of the shaft. It seems like the nut is either locked or extremely tight.

    What Steering servo?

Thanks guys, I think I will stick with what I am using now then. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt underpowered. It has worked fine and has been durable. Glad to see some other choices if I decide to change later.

    What Steering servo?

I was wondering what steering servo you guys are using? Mainly how much torque. I am running a visioncraft with a os. I am using the Futaba S-3305 124oz torque and it has been working for me but I was wondering if most people are using a servo with more torque than that.

How do you measure head clearance?

With the solder method if you take off the head and lay a piece of solder all the way across the top of the piston and also in line with the piston rod you dont get piston rock. Both ends of the solder should have the same reading.
