This is what I have.

The thunder tiger lower unit is geared. I am using the TT gear ratio 1,27:1 and the best results are with a prather 225 on 30% nitro

Yes I modified one and mounted it on a Thunder Tiger outboard leg. What a great runner.

I think a lot must be said about lower units and I'm not aiming to start talking about lower units. Anyway all my best results were achieved with a 7.5 K&B lower unit

With the thunder tiger should we adopt the same procedure?

In Europe is commum the use of geared engines in the boats. The gears perform well(I mean steel pinion and POM gear) for a long time. The vision runs very well with this set up. In june it will be possible again to go to the lake to check the boats. I will do a small video.
