A little project for Hydro Junky or anyone else

The painted version never ran. It was a new build. Sold to Bernie and converted to a rear seat and ran as the Bud. The wood deck was the later Redman.

    Shaft issues

from experience, If everything is in good working order the bogging/dying out after a lap or so tends to be not enough fresh air to the carb. Try running with out the cowl to see if that is the problem. If that doesn't help you may need a new ring. Especially if it has ingested water.

1991 Edge pics and info needed

Scott before you get to much farther on that hull I would remove the bottom from the 1st cross rib behind the sponsons and shave the bottom to meet the leading edge. In other words put a break in the bottom from behind the sponsons. The air dam thing mike has put on those is not at all correct...

    1/6th scale prop cavitation

Like Don and Mike said. Start conservative with prop size. Strut depth is determined on sponson depth. put a straight edge on the bottom starting at the transom, at the back of the sponson mark a line and then measure from the ride pad to the line. this is the depth for the strut. .5* angle...

    Fuel Line I.D.

I run 3/16 ID stainless in tanks and 3/16 ID line. I wouldn't run anything less than 5/32 for a scale.

    Gas Scale Info

The U-95 is at 21lbs race ready w/ fuel. CG at 2" behind sponson backs. pictures are on the PNWTA.org web site. I could of built it a lot lighter but wanted it to last. Windowing out all the frame to the maximum and using carbon fiber reinforcement will save on weight. Also using Balsa instead...
