    I am with Don. I have never ever had a Boca bearing that was any good.. There quality was horrible. I had some go bad on the bank just braking motors in.. WIB was much much better. i never run the metal shields either.

    Al i must say. If i was to guess you probably are not making any money on these motor endeavors and i applaud you for giving the folks some options.. If i was to ever get back into racing i think i would run your 21 and 45 motor. Congrats and keep up the good work!

    yep i used the same stuff. by the gallon. shaft looked great. easy clean up. life was MUCH MUCH easier than grease. also i had a pvc tube we stored shafts in and dumped this in the tube for storage. pulled them out and off we go as needed...

    oiler all day everyday. i used to use straight castor oil. easy to clean with denatured alcohol, just grease a shaft and spin it by hand... clean the tube and the shaft and put oil on it and you see a huge difference.. i also think it help shaft life.. oil is a much better penetrant than grease...

    .008 - .010 lap the back plate on a stone or 3000 paper.. also lap the disc ( they are not flat ) same 2-3000 grit. if you have a pc of glass you can tape down the sand paper to lap in. also take a diamond file and file the the slot so the disc just falls on the square pin. ran many a motors...

    pretty bad when you have to hone an prop and make a sleeve.. most people don't have that capacity to do. have you let jim know he may have a problem?
