The special lube 101 grease was gooey thick if I recall and was not intended for high speed apps.

The Mercury 2-4-C grease has PTFE in it. So does STP oil treatment. One of the best friction reducers.

Well....what about an outboard cable that has a lot of bend? If stored a long time in the leg, is it likely to cause more friction because of a 'memory' bend? So now we will see how many will run out to the shop and take their outboard cables out!

Tom, I think almost all of these boats were set up with sub surface drive tubes coming out of the bottom. That could have caused some of the cornering issues. The right size turn fin with a break in it might be the ticket.

I have always said the value of anything is what someone will pay for it. Has anyone seen what the toy K&O outboards are selling for? Some of the rare ones are fetching $3000. I saw one of these same Demon hulls race at the Winter Nats many years ago and it was smoking the field.

I bet there will be no need to worry about that for the two tunnel classes mentioned here. A lot of OB racers are going to want a shot at a "75th" trophy.

Been brainstorming an all new tunnel design. This is a good excuse to get working on it and see what it will do. I will say I will be in for B mod and B sport. I KNOW there will be people who will dust off their boats and come after me!! You know who you are! HA!!

Glad to hear these comments about the 3pv radio since I have a new one in the box. Is there a better receiver to use with it than the one that comes with it?

I must have just been lucky back in the day. I ran a 40 inch hull with a 7.5 outboard and a 134 steering servo....on a 400ma 4cell.!!
