    Questions questions

Well, I almost went electric but I pulled back at the last minute. The charging time and all the tape is just not for me. I think the right step back in for me is going to be the thunder boat. And I have questions. Going from nitro to gasoline, it is still a two-stroke engine. So I am...

    Building my first wood rigger.

I live in Nashville now.. honestly I could almost run year round if I really wanted to.. cold air is dense.. makes for fast boats.. and slow fingers!

    Building my first wood rigger.

I'm sure it will be fast. JAE style gas boat,.. it will for sure be fast. I spent years building boats and obsessing over weight, aero and hydro dynamics, props.. I don't want to do that anymore. I want one that goes fast, floats on air down the straights,. tends to be reliable and isn't too...

    Building my first wood rigger.

Yeah.. I've looked through that boat instructions and design. I think it's good and I believe I can build a real nice boat with it. Stock 260pum is not so expensive,.. and it should run mid 50's pretty easily I think. and honestly,. that's pretty darn fast with a boat that big..

    Building my first wood rigger.

Yeah. good guys.. I did some design work for them years ago.. I think the thunderboat cowl is still my work.. not sure though..

    Building my first wood rigger.

Well,.. I was about 2 seconds from ordering a bunch of stuff to start an electric build.. Something made me stop.. I think gas will be a better direction for me. I loved nitro boats, but the fuel cost, plugs, super special painted needed,,etc etc,.. I'm thinking to build one of the thunderboat...

    Building my first wood rigger.

It's probably fine. I would just keep this in mind in the future. In your fiberglass work, in my experience the fiberglass, CF, Kevlar, whatever u use, adds stiffness the most when applied in the corners. Meaning that if you add a piece on the bottom and one on the side, you will not see as...

    Building my first wood rigger.

Hello,. I'm in the adhesives engineering industry. On your clamping of the transom,.. If you clamp it like this and do not put something in-between the plies, you can get a condition where you do not have enough adhesive between the parts. Believe it or not,. with epoxy, the best bond will...
