I pump Corrosion X through all water jackets as part of my after run. You can use WD40 but you will need to flush it out after with something that won’t attach the o-rings. ie: alcohol, Sta-bil fogging spray, Corrosion X etc.

I wouldn’t use micro balloons, they reduce strength. Use micro fiber only for strength but you can use micro balloons for final finishing as it sands easy.

I think what Grim is referring to is an old glow plug to run the engine with when you first start it after using your after run procedure. Some of the after run fluids will attack glow plug wires and reduce the plug life significantly.
