Dick I sand all my hulls nitro/ gas with 300grit and although It certainly helps to take away drag,,however a 10mph increase is a lot.
If you run .006" on the 21 size you will benefit with torque,as they rev well anyway.but don't forget to check rod pin / bushing wear because...
