Paypal sucks BAD. Worthless MF'ers.

I just got burned for $2500 on a set of "brand new" Fox shocks for my Raptor 700. Put them on and leaking oil out of the compression adjusters and no dampening. ATV galaxy would not take them back because they had been installed. Filed a claim with Paypal. They said I altered them by installing them and denied the claim.

PayPal sucks !!! sucks they will not help in either case!!!!!!! how in the heck would you know the Shocks was bad till you installed them?? From ATV galaxy or pay pay I did not a account till i retired shut it down long ago, but opened back up when i got back into the boats and can not by anything off ebay with it. But i try to shop else where , where i dont have to use Ebay or pay pal.

I use my CC now most of the time, TD Visa is very good at reversing charges from scumbags.
Totally agree, PayPal is the WORST!

Sent $1000 via FF to Dan Ellison for a boat deposit. An email address almost exactly like Dan's came up and I hit the button. Dan never got the $$. Scumbag that did get it wouldn't send it back. PayPal did NOTHING to help me recover this cash so I'm out $1000.

Word of advice: If you insist on using PayPal, triple check the receiver's email address before sending. Once you hit send, there's no way to stop it or get it back!

Zelle if at all possible...
bank to bank transfers- no fee.

Having said that ,, zelle is not without fault.
They can flag large transfers for 4 hrs to check for fraud issues. And reject the transfer... so I try to break it down into smaller amounts to fly under the radar.

Regardless of what money transfer company you use.... ALWAYS, send a small amount first to a new contact...5 bucks... when they receive it, then send the large payment...

I always send $1 first. Then confirm it arrived at the intended recipient. I need they receive they are now in my contacts. Just resend the balance to the same address. F&F is like sending cash. Once it is sent, it is gone.

I will never., ever use PayPal again .typed in a wrong address by one digit and no recourse. Went through the process for dispute with no results . Total BS . So if you advertise races PayPal only I will not be attending. Ok ready for the flood of responses telling me how great it is ..

.
I had a very similar experience that cost me $250. Haven't used PP since and won't.

So when Jim sent me funds through Venmo he did his due diligence in making sure it was me receiving the funds.
I actually applauded him for being so thorough.
I actually like the transaction to account for a small amount before any major deposits, many institutions do it.
All it takes is a penny!!

The dollar option first is good. But getting a 1099 for my hobby..$#%^#&@@* you.
Takes longer but Postal Money Orders work.
You get 1099'd when it's done as "business", F&F at least for now doesn't get it. Regardless Paypal is a shadow of what it once was as far as customer service goes.........

I made a Facebook Marketplace purchase using Pay Pal Goods & Services as the payment method, turned out to be a scam. Reported it through PayPal & got first response to give seller more time to respond, then a second message indicating the time frame before the claim would be cancelled in their system.

Then reported it to Synchrony Bank (Pay Pals Credit Card Company) as a possible fraudulent charge, received a normal banking response with a formal reply letter & information from Synchrony.

Within an hour I received an email from Pay Pal indicating that they received the request for information from Synchrony and that the case would be closed due to lack of information.

Synchrony is a bank that claims to have fraudulent charges purchase protection, we will see what happens.
