Yesterday I ran 2 lipo's through the Cozy F1 T800. After 12 runs, the hull and outboard hold up well.
Top speed is 57mph so far, with 643 prop. I'm still fine-tuning the setup. I think with the prop set a little higher, it could go faster. I'm shooting for 62mph (100 km/h).

The hull is really stable, even when pushed a little harder. Here's a video of yesterday's run:

The hull is fast, but perhaps more important it's cornering very well. It can be a very competitive hull, for electric or nitro outboard racing.

Last weekend I took the T800 to the pond again. Running a 44mm 1.6 pitch prop I got to 60mph.
It was quite windy and the hull was running a bit too loose in these conditions. Carefully against the wind..

Here's a video of last weekend. I flipped the hull twice. The hull holds up quite well, but I destroyed 2 steering servos already 😬

Esc is a Turnigy Marine 120A. Holding up surprisingly well. At least for the fun boating I do 😉

Dirk, Nice looking boat. I am getting bits together to start a similar project but having trouble finding a supplier for the outboard leg.
The one you are using is real nice could you let me know where you bought. Sources here in the UK are very limited.
Thanks
Grahame

Thanks for the link. Going for the ZipKits G30 to start with, then hopefully get some knowledge of how they work & go from there. Do a lot of I.C racing, Endurance & offshore plus play a lot with electric ECO & hydro. Just looking for something different as it keeps me occupied. Built one many years ago with K&B 3.5 but never really got it running properly, Hopefully with electric I will have more luck.

I think the G30 is a great kit. It performs well and there's enough knowledge in this forum to make it run properly.
Enjoy the build 👍

Yesterday I ran my T800 Tunnel at the RC Powerboats event in Netherlands. Many great boats, gas, electric and even turbine powered.

Here's a video of one of my runs:

Unfortunately, a huge MHZ cat collided with my T800 at the end of the day. The cowl and radio box are badly damaged, but it is fixable. That means back to the workshop!

Thanks Xtreme, yes it is fixable. I will make a new cowl, I already received the carbon weave for that.
It was a great event. Well organized and many cool boats 😎

The T800 runs again! Yesterday I ran 2 packs through it. At first, it ran too wet, but with 1mm up-trim of the outboard, the T800 ran good. I had some bad luck with a broken flex shaft as well, but I replaced it at the pond.

Here's a video of yesterday:

Topic update; I worked on a laser cut kit of this boat and I started to build one myself.
This kit contains several design upgrades, such as a bigger sponson deadrise for more speed and a lot of cuts and notches for a fool-proof and strong assembly.

It is a frame kit, meaning the deck and sponson plating have to be arranged yourself. I will release a complete kit with plating beginning of 2024.

The parts fit together great. It took me about 4 hours to build the tunnel mid section. Here's part 1 of the build:
