I tell the Truth the carpet mill went bankrupt and Trump told them to sue him yes, they tried he is a master of lying and stealing ! I did not make any thing i said personal its called respect !
During the Atlantic City casino boom in the 1980s a variety of working-class Americans -- mechanics, plumbers, painters, waiters, dishwashers, etc. -- were contracted to do work for Trump. They did the work and expected to be paid. Trump established an extraordinary pattern of simply refusing to write a check.

He would instead offer them a partial payment. If the business balked, Trump gave them an untenable choice: sue him, despite the costs of the litigation, or simply accept less than he promised.
Don't take it personal it is just business.
Think what he could do to China and Russia.......??????
He is just what we need .
I would give him my Tax $$$$ to play with any day.
But it is a mute point.
Thy will never let it happen to them again.
He is not one of them.

JMHO, this thread is a mistake. There is plenty of places where this kind if vitriol is burning. I hate to see this in the place where we are supposed to be having fun. We lost a boater on this forum, I am not sure of the facts but not good.
Pretty sure we did not lose a boater,I live in an ajoining district and have never seen him race. But he did make a great flowmeter

I'll tell you the same thing as anyone else, nobody is forcing anyone to come to the off topic forum. This is what this forum is for, if you don't like it then don't click on it. The person who got the boot has serious anger management issues and visciously attacked multiple I/W members in p/m's on numerous occasions. We had hoped a nice time out would help, it didn't he got worse, way worse. And BTW he was the one who started this thread.............

Rodney,

Still not buying it. There's this thing called a lien. If a contractor has not been paid, they can go to the county the work was performed in and place a lien on the property. The county settles the debt and places the debt on the property. When the property is put up for sale, the lien must be cleared before the title will pass search.

As for the contractors not getting paid, this is very easily explained. I don't pay for work I have contracted from my machining business until it is right. As I said, so far, I have not had to wring anybody's neck to get something made right, but it does happen. Half done work, or work don half-assed doesn't get paid.

My dad actually had a combination of these two conditions happen to him back in '76. He was building a house, and was acting as the general. He had a contractor under contract to do the drywall. Dad paid for the material upfront, the guy stocked the job, then evaporated. Call after call, the guy never showed up to actually do the work. Anybody who's ever built of had a house built knows that work stops until certain steps are complete. Once the plumbing, central air and electrical is in, the drywall has to go up, and every comes to a halt until it is. Frustrated, my dad had somebody else put the stocked materials up. I guess the guy got wind and, all of a sudden, decides to show up and is pretty pissed that my dad is refusing to pay him for the work. Teeth are gnashed. threats are made. a gun comes out..... You know.... Thirty years later, my dad goes to sell the house, only to discover a lien had been placed on the property by the guy who refused to finish the work he was contracted to do. He got his money, lived his life and died, all while my dad owed him for work that he'd never done. Dalton Georgia had options if their claims were true. Just sayin'....

And then there's the fact that contractors, still to this day, continue answering the phone when Trump calls for work he needs done. Contractors talk. If Trump were truly known for stiffing them, they'd all recognize the caller ID.

Thanks. Brad.

hTe city of Albuquerque, New Mexico, has referred the Trump campaign's unpaid rally debt to a collections agency, according to Mayor Tim Keller.

Trump left office with nearly $2 million in unpaid bills from cities that hosted his campaign rallies, including a $211,175 invoice from Albuquerque, stemming from his 2019 event in Rio Rancho.

"We decided to bill him because the costs to the city were tremendous," Keller told The Daily Show's Jordan Klepper this week. "They made us shut down downtown. We had to close City Hall. … In my mind, he owes us a lot more because there were about a day and a half where we couldn't even function as a city."

First of all, Trump has a history of refusing to pay his bills. His lawyers were forced to appear in court hundreds of times and face lawsuits from various contractors. Therefore, it is obvious that Trump is not paying for the costs of these cult gatherings.

I continue to condemn Congress for allowing him to hold his rallies while in office. They served no other purpose than to soothe the man-child’s fragile ego. These events were not related to his job as our president, they were personal expenses, and the treasury should have been reimbursed.

“The truth lives here,” and I remain angry that Trump was allowed to waste taxpayer money, violate the Constitution, and create the current division within our nation’s people. By definition, he never was the President of the United States. He used his position for personal gain and to amass power. And congress let him get away with everything.

We can never have a repeat of our nation’s biggest mistake. Only an American patriot can be allowed to reside in our White House.

That's the problem, he exposed how wasteful and corrupt things were. Also pulled China's pants down for all the world to see and they weren't gonna stand for that. The CCP has owned the Democrat party since Clinton.......
Yep, Clinton...he was as bad as ANY of the leftist presidents this nation has seen, perhaps worse.

When Newt was Speaker during the Clintonian years, he warned Clinton about NAFDA and the rest of the globalist tentacles...Results?....the US always got the **** end of the stick while our adversaries gained, right along with the leftist instigator, personally. Notice that the scheme's architecture never changes, just the mechanics involved.

Fast forward- America's foundation is so eroded that it's just a matter of when, NOT if, the Chinese pounce.
It's beyond obvious what's going on...
We're being stretched, from all vectors, beyond what the yield is, and something must give.

I wish we had the time and patience to lay it all out...the reality is that it's beyond miraculous that the US still exists, presently.

Don, please take the time to read those two articles we posted on Facebook last night, paying attention to the author's credentials....one was on conflict between China and US, the other on this economical matter.

Uhh, that's why this section is labeled OFF TOPIC.

It's been explained over, and over, again.
