Been chasing a air leak/high idle lean issue thought the seals on the carb were bad found out it’s leaking around the draw bar on the engine case. What’s the best way to fix this?

you could remove it and when you install use some yamabond or hondabond smeared in the hole before you slide it in. or if you are up to it just some superglue medium thick and some baking soda dusted over and hit it with quick set only on the outside seam there. should soak in enough to seal and hold and baking soda will keep it from going crazy when you hit it with the instaset.

Never seen that spot leak enough to cause a problem. Is this a new issue, or have you always had it with this motor? Can you put a finger over the end of the draw bar on each side and effect the issue you are having? Those carbs are notorious for lean idle. Setting the mixture disc can be a pain.

Got it used but have very little time on it. I have a thick o ring on the carb so I ordered the correct one to try and silicone the draw bar a bit. Mixture disc seals are new
