I killed my tendons in my arm last year trying to start these. I don't think I have enough room for a collet pulley So I might have to go on the pull start side. I need 2 for me and 1 for my brother so these would be in my budget if they would fit.

The easy starter from Zippkits work great. Very minimal effort to start the engine.
Ok that's great to hear. We might just go that route. Saves my brother from having to buy a starter. They do start easy once the low end it right but when its not Dang it will wear you out.

That pulley will work great.
If you get an easy start, get the zenoah one. The off brand ones can be hit and miss.
Neither the pulley or non zenoah ez start are legal for stock classes.
Work on your technique, it should start first pull 90 percent of the time after the first start of the day.

Easy start is a great way to go from Zipkits!

Yeah, there's a video on IW somewhere that shows a boat race in Vietnam or Japan where they do a Le Mans style start...
Like 15 boats sitting on old tires.... one pull and in the water!
It's crazy...
