I stay away from tunnels! I have not reached that level of insanity where I feel the need to work on tunnels or scales.

The maiden run at Valdosta was quite good for a green boat. There were some small issues that took a couple runs to sort out but the boat showed nice potential to get to the speeds and turning needed to break into the 15's and hopefully high 14's. Need to tweak the turnfin design a little to reduce lift and find a better material I can still bend the angles into. The ride pads also needed some adjustment and I need a different material that sticks to the VHB tape better. Below are the final pics of the rigger where you can also see the turnfin bracing. The plate, threaded rod, nuts and washers are all Ti to keep weight down. Thanks to TJ who was generous enough to loan me a Bouchie pipe to test. Although I ran a MAC 13cc in Valdosta we will see what this Bouchie pipe can do at our test pond.

Is that a "FrankenVac 91"? Looks like an old HR with the new backplate?

I've had good luck with 3M (3X the money) primer for plastics, I bet it would work for your printed ride pads too:

Thanks Terry, that is a FrankenVac. It started off a HR motor and then CMB offered a VAC kit to convert the ramped induction to the inline. The VHB is a 3M tape. It works awesome on the carbon parts, but once it was exposed to water with the PLA ride pads it lost its stickiness. I have since put a top and bottom layer of carbon on the wedge piece and bonded those on so now the VHB is holding carbon to carbon.

The sponsons and tub noses just have a single layer of 3.5oz cloth to cover them. Just a simple wet layup.

Tyler, with the PLA material you might try scuffing with scotchbrite and then flaming the surface with propane just before using the VHB tape.

Onboard GoPro video footage. This was the fifth run going back to the Mac 13cc pipe. I hit something with my preferred ABC prop so I went to a 1667 pitched up. It had a little too much lift and tended to hop a little in the turn, but overall I was happy with the testing.

When it rolled do you think it caught the outside edge, the fin let go or a bit of both?
