Bill, before you look into a new sponson kit. Ask Joe if these sponsons have dihedral in them? It was my understanding that the released kits that you have were not going to have dihedral. My source told me that the sponsons were going to be of the Tom David design with flat bottoms. JJ sems to know everything though. Ron and I both ran into a handling issue with the dihedral bottoms on the sponsons. A standard flat bottom immediately corrected the issue. I was the first to give it a try and Ron followed the change right after.
It is possible that they found another way to correct the problems that Ron, I, and one other person was having with the pre-release kits.
None the less. It is a great little rigger that will make a great boat kit for everyone.

Well im ready to start rigging the hull out starting with installing the shaft tube, then gluing the ski to the bottom of the boat! And here some pics of the sponsons!

Ric is correct. We abandoned the dihedral sponsons on the R4, largely due to his feedback. The production sponsons are inspired by Tom David and his mods to the 21 nitro boat.
We realized that we could eliminate most of the sanding in these kits, and now they are just silly easy to build.
The new fin has a "Blazer style" 90 degree curl, and comes pre-sharpened.
The fin is very sensitive to adjust, but it does make the boat unbeatable in the turns, even in rough water.
The plan is to make an R6/45, as well as an R10/gas. We are still testing the gas boat, and while close, it is not ready for production.

If my eyes don't deceive me... It appears the turn fin pictured is actually flat front to back. Lacking the usual leading edge and trailing edge opposite curl in the curve of the fin... If so, I'd like to pick up a few for my Sport 40's and Sport 20. Would that be possible? And how much if is possible?

Joe, I know you guys have enough projects as it is, but if you ever design and produce a Sport21 Hydro or Sport 40 Hydro kit, id buy one up in a heart beat!!
