Hello,

Looking for a prop size cart that would include diameter and pitch.

Looking for help to see what would be a good prop to start with for these situations:

49in forabuck mono hull with stock Zenoah 300

Mountain Hobbies Lighting 46in mono hull
if a OPS .67 is used
if a OPS super 80 is used

both are surface drives

Would OCTURA X472 be a good start for the 49in hull with the Zenoah? 300?

Thank you.

For the gas mono get in contact with Bob English ( gforce hydro here in the forum).
For the nitro boats you should contact Mark Sholund (props for u)

Hi Alex,
I'm thinking the guys you listed are for pro boaters. I'm new and not ready to be dropping 75 plus apiece for props and I'm really don't want to waste their time either.
But think you for the suggestion.

Hi Mark,

Wow that is way bigger than I was guessing for the Zenoah 300 stock engine.
Why do you say that. You just asked in your first post if a 472 would work. That is bigger than the 7016 by 2 mm. 70 to 72. We can pull that prop on our stock 26 motors with well setup boats.

Isn't the 472 a two blade and the 7016 a three blade? Does 2mm less on the 7016 and one more blade in water compare to the larger diameter 472? Which one has more load on the engine.
Is it better to have a three blade over a two?
Mike when you mentioned the Zenoah 260 running a prop all day, to which prop are you referring to?

Does the Zenoah 260 and 300 use the same prop? I'm working with a 300.

Thank you

We are pulling the 7016 with the 260. A 3 blade has a little more load on it since there is more blade in the water at any given time compared to a 2 blade. Your 29.5 will be able to pull it without any issue. There is no magic prop that works on all boats/setups. You have to try them out and see what works best for your situation. The reason I have a box full of props. Get the zip prop and it should be fine. When you feel you need to try something better. The Bob English props are reasonably priced and work great. He is on this site. I have no idea what prop a stock 29.5 will pull since that is something most people are not doing. Most are moded.

2714/2 15 prop is a good prop Prather 275 will work also Bonzi sells the 2714/2 and zipkitts sells the 275
