So many memories, so many great conversations-
RIP my friend, you will be missed by many . Thoughts and prayers to Sue and the family .
Dick had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a hand- offer advice, even when not needed lol , and sure as hell would wanna squeeze your liner if ya let him
You will be missed Dick, but Im pretty certain you have already started a round of Simon Says up there at Gods Lake already.......
God Speed.
The older we get the more it sucks loosing friends.

So sad to hear about Dick's passing. What a great man. He was always a fun guy at the races. He was very knowledgeable with the engines and the boats as well a a very good racer. We all loved his Simon Says games at the races. My daughter Erin actually won one of these at the St. Louis Internats in '93. Whenever my kids were at the Internats with Pris and I he always entertained them and they loved it. They will be sad to hear this news when I tell them. My prayers go out to Sue and the girls and the rest of the family. Rest in peace, my friend.

I will not forget Dick Jones. I will miss his humor, guidance, and kindness. When he became IMPBA president in 2001 Dick traveled to Florida to pick up the IMPBA office. Before departure we gathered, joined hands and Dick provided a most comforting prayer. It meant so much to my father and our family.
May the fondest of memories comfort the Jones family and us all during this time of loss & sorrow, for I truly believe the glory of God holds DickJones. In Jesus name, Amen!

Oh my god - this is so sad. Dick Jones was one of the greatest men in IMPBA! I remember first meeting him at the 93 Nats in St. Louis. He was so friendly and jovial!. We immediately hit off and were great friends ever since. It brings tears to my eyes just typing this. I was fortunate enough to meet up with Dick and Sue down in their home in FL back in 2018. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone. He was instrumental in guiding Jason to his 97 e-hydro US1 and 98 F-Hydro "US-2".

RIP my Friend! You will truly be missed but your memory will live on!

I am truly sorry to hear about Dick’s passing. I have fond memories of Mr. Jones as an impressionable young kid. In particular, during the years of the Indy Unlimited and our group of model boaters staying at the same Red Roof Inn. As many have mentioned Simon Says, water guns, and his red superman cape! Sending thoughts and well wishes to his family.

He was a very good mentor & always fun to be around "Simon says" he will be missed greatly, prayers for family

I was able to share all of your wonderful memories and comments with my mom and sisters. Mom is here in Savannah with me, as she and my sisters evacuated for Ian. Your comments made us laugh…and cry..and then laugh again. Some of my earliest memories are of boat races and go-cart tracks with many of you. No matter how many times we played Simon Says, I still could never beat him. Boating was such a passion for him, but above that, he so enjoyed helping other boaters. His boating legacy will live on through all of you. And we will cherish each and every memory you all have shared.

Much love from the family of Mayor “Moby Dick”,
Melissa Jones Everett (his youngest daughter)
