If you run a hi volt reciever & life/lipo batteries, a Hitec 7245MG Mini is hi volt equivalent of a Hitec 225MG. It had more torque but is more expensive. I’ve had good luck with mine that’s going on 6-7th year racing w/same Hitec 7245 rudder servo on my JAE 12 Nitro heat racing boat. Survived some nasty tumbles/blow overs, hit some buoys, turtles, sticks & debris during this time w/o issue. Both are good servos and I believe the same sizes (don’t quote me & verify size.) of course Futaba makes high quality servos, savox too and they offer all sorts of sizes & applications. Learned about ProModeler Servos on here and they look very nice especially compared to cost of others w/same specs. Was told to use metal gears & 150oz torque or more for rubber servos in 21 size riggers. Hope info helps?

225 works great. That boat doesn't require a bunch of torque if the linkage is set up right. Use the shortest possible arm on the servo and the longest rudder arm hole. They require very little rudder movement, use all of the servo travel to get the required rudder deflection. Do not use end points in the radio until you have optimized the linkage

Thank you!

I know my post is quite late, I have moved my boats over to the pro modeler servos and just love them. No more glitches or the humming
