Mike, did you get the 67 bearings in? I would like to get 1 set of #3 and 2 sets of #1. Thanks.

Ok, I finally got my shipment of bearings in. Everyone on here that had inquired should have a PM sent to them.

I've got a pretty good inventory now, so they should be on hand in the future.

Hello Dave,
Thanks for providing the sizes, makes it much easier. Those sizes translate to a 6001 and 608 bearing number which I have available from the sizes used in the different bearing sets. Price for the set will be $35 shipped. Send me a PM if you want them and I will get you PayPal info.

Thanks,
Mike
Hello Mike:

I made an attempt to change the bearings on my Rossi R65 marine engine. Wasn’t as easy as I’d hoped.

I heated the front housing in my oven (350 degrees) for 20 minutes. The front bearing barely came out. The rear wouldn’t move.
So I re-heated oven (to 400 degrees) for additional 15 minutes, rear bearing would not move.

This method worked for me in the past. Usually both bearings practically fall out without doing too much (maybe tapping the case with a wooden spoon a little).

What is best method? (I don’t want to screw it up)

In my experience, heating in an oven to remove the bearings, everything is expanding together due to the slower heating up.
I have always had good results heating the case around the small front bearing with a propane torch.
Once heated tap the small bearing out out from the inside using my glow plug driver.
Once out concentrate the heat around the case at the big bearing. Once heated, smack the open (intake side) on a wood block/board.
Big bearing usually out in 2 to 3 smacks.

I see, thanks. I'll try it
