That looks like an Octura X series prop. Substituting the same prop in metal will improve performance. The metal prop will need sharpened and balanced. To find the metal prop size measure the diameter in mm. The prop size will then be X4mm.

Doug,

If you can measure tip to tip that would help. Looks to be an X-438,
X-440, or X-442 with the tape measure.

Thanks,

Measures 1” 9/16” which is right at 40MM in length. Can I try a larger prop and or can I gain some speed with a 3 blade ?

Doug,

An X-440/3 will give you more performance as well as a X-442
which would be about 2mm more
in diameter. There are plenty of other
options in the ABC Propeller line up
as well. The 1600 series like a 1615,
1614/3, 1616 all might be worth trying.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund
