Prolly a silly question, gas classes & US1 title

Are none of the gas classes approved to compete for a US1 title?
Or are the gas drivers not interested in this format?
I see the gas Nats every year, which is a 3-4 ,day race but have never seen or heard of the Gas Internat's

They ran the Gas Nats as US-1 for one year and the racers hated it. Hasn't been done since...............

The vast majority of Gas racers don’t care for the SAW or Oval portion required to be called a US1 Champion. Heat racing is what it’s all about and I agree with how the Gas Nats is currently being run. There is a reason the Gas Nats gets sold out in 30 minutes every year and there’s a waiting list to get in.
