I disagreed with that decision then and I still do to this day...........
Thanks Don. We at NLMBC figured it was a no brainer, but the powers to be at that time obviously had other thoughts. Was a close vote if I recall correctly. Oh well. The unfortunate part is that the Northern Nats had been run for over 40 years and is now a distant memory. Shame!
Hopefully the same thing doesn’t happen to the Fall Nats.

Maybe it's time to revisit that subject.

Back to the original post - the 2022 Fall Nationals Race status. Posting this info for the CMB club.

I can confirm that the race WILL be held on its traditional dates in October and will be Oct 7, 8 & 9, Friday to Sunday. The dates posted on the IMPBA website is incorrect and will be changed very shortly to the above dates. Open water will ONLY be held on Thursday, Oct 6th. NO open water before that day due to restrictions from the homeowners association across the lake. Please do not put any boat in the water prior to Thursday and the retrieve boat will not be put into the water until Thursday morning.

A cadre of seasoned racers and support personnel are being assembled now and have committed to run the race for the CD's, pit bosses, turn judges, etc. so that will not be a concern. There have been others that have offered their services during the race and your assistance is welcome and needed.

If the racers want the CMB Fall Nats race continue in the future it is imperative that the racers strongly support and attend the race to make it viable for the club to host each year. Covid has taken a toll on the hobby but this is the time to put it in the rear window and get back in the swing for top notch racing that the Fall Nats is known for. Nitro, tunnel and gas racers need to put it on the race schedule now.

The race registration through RCRacingevents will be completed and posted by Saturday May 7th. An additional notice will be posted before that date to get racers ready to enter.

A new thread with info for entering the race has just been posted. Entry period will start Saturday May 7th at 7pm. Please look at the new post and the race entry info on RCRacingevents website.

I was hoping to make this race as last time was a great time. BUT my son has a car race that weekend and im pit crew

What is meant by 6 boats to make "most" classes.
What classes are exempt from 6 boat minimum?

It should read 6 to make class to fund the awards. However in the end if 5 are entered the class usually would run. Less than that number would put it in jeopardy but we have run 4 boat classes before. Just have to wait as we have nearly 5 months before the race is held.

The traditional Open Tunnel class was unintentionally omitted when the classes were initially set up. It was added early this week. The tunnel guys need to support the class.

John, Knoxville has 4 or Superboats ready to sign up.... Put us on wait list for superboat,
Thanks Terry Rogers

Will keep it in mind closely and it will depend on how many classes do not make the minimum to ensure room for the class. We have about 4.5 months to go so do not give up hope. Would like to see more interest than just 4 from Knoxville.
