Hey everyone!
Brainstorming some ideas for a P tunnel project, hoping to get some ideas for layout of the radio box/ battery area.

Thanks in advance!

Brandon, do you want to run an all dry radio box? i.e. all the electronics, battery, ESC, etc inside or do you want to run a semi exposed setup with the steering servo and potentially ESC out in the open? I know some even run the battery in the open.

So I’ll be running a shaman hull, and with the room I have I can fit the receiver, ESC and steering servo in the back tank area. I will probably use a waterproof servo and mount it to the top lid, leaving it semi exposed.
Battery is a toss up. I can seal off the standard radio box area to keep them dry, or I can waterproof the connection area and leave them out in the open. If leaving them out like that is feasible then that would be the least invasive setup to the hull

Here are a couple pics of my Taboo. It started out as a B spt boat and since I wasn't sure it would stay as a P spt tunnel, I used a modular approach. It can be either in about 45 minutes.

Now that’s super cool. Awesome looking orange on that boat too. The windshield on the boat, is that paint or vinyl? I like the shape.

The orange is just Rustolem 500 degree Chevy engine enamel under a urethane clear. The windshield is cut vinyl. The rivets are just done freehand with a silver paint pen. Thanks

That color of that Taboo reminds me of Mike Rushing. Mike was one of my close friends and we went to many races together back in the day. He has been gone now for ten years and there is not a race that we attend that someone doesn't bring up his name, Mike was a modified engine maniac but he also had the first ballistic O/S sport engine. It was Mike who first ran an O/S engine with what he called a negative 1 head clearance. He was so much faster than the field that many people thought that his engines were not legal. He eventually told a few people how he was doing it and the 3.5cc class caught on fire. The Taboo was the last boat he ran. He loved wild woman and fast boats. We miss that guy.

Great looking boat Mike Starrett.

I have a laser cut FE box for the Lynx and if y'all want a laser cut Shaman FE box that can be done too.
