Good evening guys - my son has his G30 nearing the sealing stages - he is planning to run his stock OS on this one. Any suggestions on set-up for nitro power? wanting to get it close on the mock-up before I help him seal everything up. Thanks and be well!

I have been watching this and I am surprised somebody has not said something already..... Well , here goes.....
Start here.....
CG- 8-3/4 to 9 inches.... prop set dead level to sponson bottoms.... Use the 4014 / 3 CNC Zipp prop right out of the bag......[no balancing is necessary]
The 4014/3 CNC prop will like to have the CL of prop shaft about 3/32" above the bottom of the sponsons....
All tunnels really like 3 blade props because when running you always have a blade in the water.....
The G-30 boat really likes about 1/2 degree of motor positive kick out inclination but I believe you will need to test this for your self.....
The boat will not like negative kick in with the motor....stay away from motor kick in [negative] unless you really like to ride in the retrieve boat....😂
I would not be hesitant to test a Zipp 437/3 [Octura 437/3 blade] prop also.....you will probably need to sharpen and balance this prop....You will be surprised how well the boat will run with that prop....and .....you will also finish more heats..... 🤞

Your always a great source of information Rod! Will have phone you again one day soon, maybe you can PM me your # again. I built 2 of the G30's but haven't gotten in the water yet.My friend is thinking he mite make his electric but I am going Nitro. Ran into a problem painting the cowl with endurance paint outtalked to Joe and a body shop supply place so I am hoping it sticks this time. Be already for next year....

I have setup question for the FE guys. Is it best for CG… keep the steering servo at the back or move the servo up front into the radio box?
I will be oval heat racing.
 
Thanks yall. I honestly just curious, since I’m noob to tunnel and recently my interest peaked by seeing club member running vintage tunnel.
 
Eric, it is a much neater setup if you put the servo back next to the transom. It eliminates having to work around any pushrods or cables when installing and removing batteries. You can do a pull pull system. Or, some are using a single pushrod on the right side.
Ric, I wanted ask.. I plan on getting capt Vic hi jack mount, using lawless 3.5 lower. Did you get his mount for K&B or OS for your lawless lower?

If you’re using a lawless lower, you’ll want the “K&B” mount. Only difference between the two is the hinge plate pin hole size. The OS one is metric. The K&B is 3/16”, which is the same size pin size as the lawless.
