I don't believe so.. I know Mike B. Has reached out to just about every nitro club east of the Mississippi and posted on IW multiple times with no luck... At this point it's to late to get something going and expect a decent turnout in my opinion. Hopefully we will have something in 2022 even if just 3 day 5 round heat race for national championships...
 
Maybe if the IMPBA BOARD members would help or actually put the race on would result in having a race.

The IMPA BOARD PUT THE RACE ON AT HUNTSVILLE ONE YEAR.

If you read the latest IMPBA roostertail, you will see that I posted that everyone that showed a little interest in putting something on had backed out for the year. I think with Covid being so uncertain this year, it may have something to do with people being hesitant. Regardless, there will not be race this year.

As far as the board putting something on, we still need a location and some support from a club to help out with equipment required to put a race on. I asked out to all district directors to help out with this and received no responses back. For next year, if no clubs will do it, we will be looking for a group of people to put it on.

Doc, I have always been willing to help at any race and have always offered any help to the Huntsville club if they need anything from me at your Internats race or time trials. I called last year and spoke with both Marks and said if I need to join your club to help out tell me where to send the money, this was when you all were voting on whether to put on the rInternats in 2020 . Mike Betke asked me to see if Mike and I wanted to put on a Nitro Nats again or a full blown Internats and we declined because Mike doesn't have the time since he is working 6 days a week, I am working two jobs, and Evansville is hosting the Gas Nats this year. I hope that a club will host one for 2022 and if they need my help and I can get the time off, I will be there. As for 2021 as the District Director for 14 I put in a call to David Preusse, spoke to the Cincinnati club and a few others as Mike asked for me to help try and motivate but found nothing but a dead end. Doc would your club in Huntsville be willing to put on the Internats this year or 2022 at your premier site?
 
Brad, Yep Thanks for your help. Especially you helping us old wore out senior citizens with 2 knee replacements.

To answer your questions about Huntsville, I am not the one to ask. I am not in the loop with any of the planning or decisions.

You would need to check with Mark and Rick Grim.

As you know the Huntsville club hosts a lot of activities as well as your club. So I don’t think your club or Huntsville has been slacking in holding events and promoting RC boats and racing.

The reason for the post is that it seemed to be extraordinary quite about any Nitro Nationals or Internats. I was hoping that some club was going to host one of the events. I guess we got an answer which is NO. Thanks

Because general members are never included in a board meeting. Board meetings are always telephonic now. They quit having the open meeting at the international quite a few years ago.

Bill you of all people know the drill,Talk to your district director and the President. Both are available any time.

That is no excuse. The IMPBA Roostertail has all board member and district directors email address's & phone numbers. Contact them in person instead of bitching about it on International Waters!

Not looking to start a pissing match with ya Buck , but Doc never really bitched, he did state he reached out with no response, and frankly in this day in age if you want to draw attention to a cause close to your heart- A forum designed to reach the people that need to be reached is exactly what he did . Ease up - JD Deserves al little more respect than that imho 😟
